Created by Olympic in the early 80's the oval kiln's design came from the demand of customers to stretch their 18", 23" and 28" kilns to accommodate odd shape pieces. The 20 ovals stretch the 18" kiln, the 25 ovals the 23" kiln and the 30 ovals the 28" kiln. These kilns are great for unusual sized pieces and work well for the production potter or contemporary studio. Olympic ovals designed for pottery and ceramics firings are built with a 2" blank brick lip to protect the first row of elements when loading/unloading the kiln. All Olympic ovals are equipped with a lid lift assist for easy opening and closing of the kiln lid.
