Doll or Test kilns

Doll-Test top-loading kilns come in one size only: 11" diameter by 9" high. Typically they work on 120 volts, although a version is available for 200-240 volts. The 120 volt versions are available in either 15 amp Cone 8 version or a 18 amp Cone 10 version. There is a choice of three controls: The One-Touch™ intuitive control, the more sophisticated 24-Key DynaTrol or the Orton Kiln Sitter with Timer and manual Infinite Switch.

One 9” high section sits on a bottom. The kiln is very easy to assemble and disassemble.

Stainless steel wrapped around shaped firebrick. There are three adjustable clamps welded to each casing. All assembly is with stainless steel screws. The kiln sections sit on a separate stand.
Simple strong hinge with chain for door support.
Heavy-duty 14 gauge full solid stand with multiple bends for strength. Legs bolt on with heavy 1/4-20 stainless bolts. The metal is aluminized for good corrosion resistance.
A proprietary brick coating is applied to all interior surfaces of the kiln. This is put on before the element holders are inserted. This coating penetrates the firebrick and fuses the surface on a microscopic level which helps prevent dusting and crumbling of the fragile firebrick.
